Aimed at leveraging the ingenious of the African Diaspora to combat social issues, DDCH attendees will mobilize at one of our locations or locally within their own communities. Event-goers will segment into teams in which they will spend the day developing plans and hacks to counter technical challenges on behalf of our featured organizations including the Asante Africa Foundation, The Peace Corps, BudgIT, The Dream Defenders, United Negro College Fund, & more.
Upon completion of the event, the projects will be supplied to the featured organizations to review in addition to being uploaded to our open sourced portal where visitors can access the hacks to ignite change within their own communities all around the world
Eligibility
All participants of Diaspora Day of Civic Hacking are eligible to submit a project.
Requirements
Projects must call within the scope of 7 DDCH project challenges and must be presented at one of the DDCH official locations.
